True Blood 405 Recap – Me and the Devil

The episode opens with Joe Lee and Melinda Mickens attacking Tommy and chaining him so that he can be their prisoner and cash cow. Joe Lee believes that he strangled Tommy until he loses consciousness but Tommy was faking and he gains the upper hand. When he is free he beats Joe Lee to death with a lead pipe. Melinda comes up behind him to attack her son in retribution and Tommy instinctively swings the pipe at her, striking her in the head and killing her.
Marnie is collapsed in the circle after cursing Pam. Tara, Laffy , and Jesus are very angry that she has managed to piss off yet another vampire and they worry for their safety.

They abandon Marnie in the woods and decide to fend for themselves.
Arlene and Terry are horrified after the magic marker incident and Arlene believes that Rene must be in their home as a ghost. Terry decides to bring in a priest to rid their home of any evil spirits.
Eric has a bad dream that Godirc foces him to attack and drain Sookie in her bedroom. When he wakes he creeps into her room just as he did in the dream and scares her half to death. When she demands to know what he is doing he tells her has had a bad dream… just like a scared child creeping into their parent’s bed.
Jessica gets Jason settled into his bed and Hoyt is grateful for his amazing vampire girlfriend. When he tries to hug her she tenses up, no doubt remembering that she fed on another man and glamoured Hoyt into forgetting. Since he cannot remember he has no idea why she is acting so weird and he decides to sleep at Jason’s house instead of going home with her.
Portia goes to Bill’s house and tries to get him to reconsider a relationship. He gets nowhere in his argument that they cannot see each other and he has to glamour her into being afraid. She runs from his home screaming.
Eric and Sookie lay in bed discussing his dream and Godric. Eric has obviously been crying and Sookie comforts him and allows him to sleep in her bed.
Pam visit Bill in his office and shows him her rotting face. He forbids her to kill the witch as she so desires.
Jesus and Laffy pack it up and decide to go and seek help from Jesus’s grandfather, who is a powerful brujo. Tara plans on going back to New Orleans but is somewhat put off when she finds out her girlfriend is suspicious that she is lying.
Sam is awakened by a panicked Tommy who shows him the dead bodies of their parents in Tommy’s van. He and Tommy drive to get rid of the bodies and along the way Andy pulls them over. He spots blood on the door and insists that Sam open the van doors. Andy grabs the keys and opens the doors himself only to find an alligator in the back. Andy screams and jumps away. Sam closes the door, knowing the gator is only Tommy. He explains that he found the gator near the trash at the bar and that he is transporting it back to the swamp. Andy buys it. They drive to the water and dump the bodies, which are eaten by gators.
Sookie visits the witches shop and asks Marnie for a reading. Marnie makes contact with Sookie’s Gran who tells her to look after her brother and to not give the new man she cares for her heart because it will not last. Sookie can actually hear her gran because she can hear Marnie’s thoughts. Gran tells Sookie to run and get away from Marnie.
Marnie is then abducted by Bill’s employees and locked in a room in the King’s mansion. Bill speaks with her from via microphone and asks her questions about how to reverse the curses she worked on Eric and Pam but she denies knowing how. Bill goes into the room and glamours her just to make sure but her answers do not change. While Marnie is there though she has another vision of Antonia… the spirit who has inhabited her twice now. She sees that Antonia and her coven were imprisoned by vampire priests and fed upon.
Jason has a sexy dream about Jessica which he is happy to go along with until Hoyt shows up and ruins it.
Tara finds Eric in Sookie’s house and pitches a fit. She informs Eric of some of his crimes against Sookie and then storms off. Later Eric asks Sookie if he really did those things and if so why is she allowing him to stay in her house. Sookie assures him that she knows there is good in him and that he can change but Eric decides to leave rather than risk hurting her. Sookie calls him back though and they kiss on her front porch.
Bill meets with the other Sheriffs in his state and lets them know what they are up against with the witches. One Sheriff tells of a witch named Antonia who cast a spell that made all vampires in the area willingly meet the sun. Bill does not give them permission to kill Marnie as they wish though and Pam is so upset she lets it slip that Eric has lost his memory. Bill forces her to tell him were Eric is and she tells him that Eric is at Sookie’s house.
